      The Ilocos Sur Festival 2026: The People's Celebration (Intayon, Ilocos Sur!), a major province-wide event running from early February 2026, celebrating the 208th Founding Anniversary of the province. It features, parades, cultural showcases, Battle of the Bands, the Ilocos Sur Pride Queen competition, Ms and Mr Ilocos Sur, all aimed at celebrating Ilocano culture.

      On the day of the opening, after the parade in the afternoon, me and my cousins went to the food and fair trade where various of foods, drinks and products were displayed at stands. We of course went to these stands wherein we browsed the merchandise and bought foods and drinks, after that we went to plaza maestro just to browse again and as we got home, the head of our government in Ilocos Sur declared the suspension of classes at the following day which got me very happy.

      Unfortunately i did not attend any of the events that were conducted at the stadium thought the duration of the festival, my friends that wanted to go tried to convince me to attend but I declined their offer. It was very fun attending it even for just a day-it reminded me of last year when I was in grade 9 and the last 2 months of our school year.
