My dream, My future

My dream, My future      When we we're still kids, we must have set a goal back then-so that when the time comes, we won't be confused and we'll have a bright vision of our future. It is a very important choice of our life-one's that'll determine our where and what tomorrow-though our choice back then are not permanent and some changes will occur as we grow and gain more perspectives and knowledge.       As for me, I'm still not sure-my initial goal is to become a surgeon, specifically a neurosurgeon but it'll take years for me to become one and I'm not even sure if I can bear the responsibilities and disciplines of it, as my work will deal with lives and under the circumstances a patient is on the verge of death and I'm the one chosen to operate on them and I fail to aid them, then I'm not sure if I can tolerate the guilt that comes with it. However it is still not yet determined, who knows? Maybe I'll develop and I'll actually become o...

Always on Valentine’s Day

Always on Valentine’s Day       Valentine's Day, celebrated annually on February 14, is a global, cultural, and commercial event dedicated to expressing love, affection, and friendship. Originally a Christian feast day honoring St. Valentine who secretly continued to marry couples to spare husbands from war and was later executed by defying a decree that banned marriage for young men. it evolved through folk traditions into a celebration of romance, featuring symbols like Cupid, roses, chocolates, and cards.      Another day of valentines with no one to spend it with. Not that I care-I have my friends and family-though I may not show it but I really do love them and I'm actually quite happy, happy that my friends and family who longed to be loved truly for a long long time now had already found someone. I'm proud that they did not give up so quickly and waited patiently for that someone to answer them. And I hope that they can protect their relationsh...

Celebrating the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul       The cobblestone streets of Vigan with the sounds of celebration as I arrived in this UNESCO World Heritage City during one of its most cherished traditions, the Fiesta honoring the Conversion of St. Paul, the city's patron saint. Every January 25 th, this historic Spanish colonial town transforms into a assortment of faith and culture.       The fiesta centers around the centuries old St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral, its baroque façade standing proudly in the plaza. As dawn broke, church bells pealed across the heritage district, calling the faithful to the solemn High Mass. The cathedral overflowed with devotees dressed in their finest barong tagalog and ternos, their voices joining in traditional hymns that seemed to transport you back through the centuries.       The highlight came in the late afternoon, the grand procession. The image of St. Paul, adorned with flowers and ca...
